Novelist Bill Granger will team up with Secretary of State Jim Edgar at noon Monday to set off the local observance of National Book Week.
Edgar, who`s also the state librarian, will introduce Granger at a free program in the State of Illinois Center, where the Chicago writer will talk about his 10th and latest ”November Man” spy thriller, ”The Man Who Heard Too Much.”
The second installment in the ”Lunch With Authors” program is scheduled for Friday, same time, same place, with an appearance by Jamie Gilson, author of ”Thirteen Ways to Sink a Sub” and other children`s books.
