Recently Judge Gerald Murphy made some comments about Pearl Harbor in his courtroom.
While associated with the Navy, my wife and I were living in military housing next to Pearl Harbor on that Dec. 7, 1941, Sunday morning.
I, too, believe that it is a shame that as Dec. 7 rolls around this day of infamy is ignored year after year while the anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki receive extended press and the media try to lay a guilt trip on Americans. Those bombings would not have happened had it not been for the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
I would like to see Pearl Harbor remembered the same as a legal holiday. Let`s not forget it.
