Janet E. Madel, 78, a retired nurse, died Saturday in Oak Forest Hospital. Mrs. Madel, who lived on the Southwest Side, worked at Mercy and Roseland Community Hospitals in Chicago and St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island. She is survived by a son, Robert, and a brother. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 4950 W. 79th St., Burbank.
