Q-I have a beautiful old plumeria in a 12-inch pot. Is there a way to rejuvenate it without going through complete repotting?
A-Richard Eggenberger of the Houston-based nursery called The Plumeria People recommends removing the top 2 or 3 inches of old potting mix and replacing with fresh, then applying liquid manure ”tea.” (Suspend in a pail of water a small cloth bag of well-rotted manure, preferably cow, or the dried product which can be purchased in bags. Allow to steep until the color of weak tea, then apply.)
