– Aurora Central Catholic Class A regional-Patsy Browne (13-2) was the winning pitcher, while Tara Grube (4 for 5), Patty Gallagher (2 for 4, two RBIs) and Michelle Nevin (2 for 4) also led Lemont (20-3) to a 12-6 win over Shabbona.

Kristy Lang (9-0) struck out eight and walked three to lead Aurora Central Catholic (25-1) to a 14-1 win over Newark. It was Aurora Central Catholic`s 14th straight win. Kelly LeFevre went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs for the Chargers, who broke the game open by scoring seven in the second inning.

Missy Comenduley (6-0) struck out eight, walked five and went 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs, and Beth Malecha was 2 for 4 with two runs scored to lead Illinois Math and Science Academy (12-2) to a 16-7 win over Somonauk.

– Momence A regional-Jenna Regis (2 for 4, five RBIs), Mitzi Wepprecht (2 for 2, four RBIs) and Kelly Wenzelman (2 for 3, three RBIs) guided Herscher (7-14) to a 19-2 victory over St. Anne.

– Driscoll A regional-Leslee Tornabeni (15-4) hurled a no-hitter and struck out six, and Vicki Batka went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Driscoll in a 23-1 win over Holy Trinity.

– Manteno A regional-Sue Lammel and Diana Johnson each went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs to lead Evergreen Park (20-5-1) to a 10-1 win over St. Barbara. Kim Chovancak (17-4-1) picked up the win.

In other games, Kristy Walker went 2 for 5 with a three-run homer, while Kristin Thomas (3 for 4, 3 RBIs), Dawn Liddle (2 for 4, 2 RBIs) and Shari Greicar (3 for 4, 2 RBIs) also powered Westmont (15-6) in a 15-3 six-inning victory over Chicago Christian. Rachel Kreykes was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs for Illiana Christian (14-4) in an 11-8 win over Peotone.

– Lemont A regional-Eden Gorczynski pitched a one-hitter, while Karen Ingram

(3 for 3, 3 RBIs) and Kelly Wanshek (3 for 3, 3 RBIs) paced the offense for Wheaton St. Francis (18-5) in a 11-0 win over Paw Paw.

– Reed Custer A regional-Missy Nowak (24-3) was the winning pitcher and Lucy Hernandez went 3 for 3 with 5 RBIs to lead Reed Custer to a 15-1 win over Seneca.

Earlier, Dawn Levy (13-4) struck out 14 and was 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs for Coal City (13-5) in a 10-2 triumph over Mazon.

– Ridgewood A regional-Iris Rios (8-5) pitched a five-inning one-hitter and Mabel Dolleton had a two-run homer to lead St. Benedict (10-9) to a 10-0 win over Walther Lutheran.

Earlier, winning pitcher Mary Salkeld (10-8) doubled in the fifth to score Patty McGough as Ridgewood defeated North Shore Country Day 8-7.

Cindy Czeszewski hurled a five-inning no-hitter to lead Luther North

(11-9) to a 19-0 win over Francis Parker.

– Geneva A regional-Linette Pestel drove in the winning run with a single in the seventh as Montini beat St. Edward 4-3.

– Washington 18, Carver 4-Flavell Wills (7-3) pitched a seven-inning no-hitter, striking out eight, for Washington (15-3, 13-0). Wills, who also went 2 for 3 with five RBIs, was assisted by Tami Hoff (4 for 4, six RBIs) and Julie Kawiecki (2 for 3, four RBIs).

– Thornwood 6, Homewood-Flossmoor 1-Michelle Venturella (8-3) hurled a three- hitter, while Kris Parlberg went 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs to pace No. 3 Thornwood (24-5, 12-0), which clinched the SICA East title with the victory. The Thunderbirds scored all six runs in the first three innings of the seven- inning game.

– Morton 13, Proviso East 2-Molly Norman (9-3) scattered three hits and had a homer, a double and three RBIs for No. 7 Morton (21-5, 10-1), which clinched a tie for first in the West Suburban Gold.

– Lyons 10, Leyden 2-Pam Jack (2 for 3, two RBIs), Teresa Lewaniak (2 for 4, two RBIs) and Laura Perek (2 for 3, two runs scored) paced No. 6 Lyons (20-3) in a West Suburban crossover. Jennifer Gralla (1-1) struck out six and gave up seven hits to pick up the victory.

– Zion-Benton 10, Libertyville 3-Sara Randell (8-3) struck out eight and Jill Martin drove in a pair of runs with a double for Zion-Benton (18-5, 10-4).

– Riverside-Brookfield 11, St. Ignatius 0-Becky Hull (2-3) scattered three hits in five innings to lead Riverside-Brookfield (10-11). Martha Senese (2 for 2, two RBIs) sparked the offense.

– Kelly 29, Richards Vocational 13-Lisa Pahr and Janell Evans each hit a pair of homers, while Micaela Ortiz and Alma Barragan added a home run apiece for Kelly in a South-West game.

– Farragut 15-15, Orr 8-7-Belinda Loza (4 for 4, three RBIs) and Aida Reyna

(3 for 3, three RBIs) led Farragut to the sweep.

– Woodlands Academy 10, Lake Forest Academy 6-Brooke Kemper slugged a bases-loaded triple to lead Woodlands Academy (11-4, 9-3).

– Minooka 8, Elmwood Park 2-Doris Hayes (12-12) struck out 16 in a seven inning no-hitter. Sue Szymanski was 2 for 4 with two RBIs for the victors.

– Maine South 8, Maine East 7-Kim Wiederer (9-2) picked up the win, while Emmy Pasier was 3 for 4 with two RBIs to lead Maine South (16-4, 10-0).

– Lake Forest 10, Warren 8-Brooke Browne and Suzie Brenner had back-to-back singles while Kristi Matthews went 3 for 3 with an RBI for Lake Forest (15-8, 13-3). Heather Peddle (8-2) picked up the win.

– Evanston 23, Glenbrook South 13-Tracey Elikan (3 for 5, five RBIs), Tamika Chess (2 for 2, four RBIs), Heidi Toft (2 for 3, three RBIs) and Penny Armstrong (1 for 3, two RBIs) led Evanston (15-7, 6-4), which used 11 hits and 19 walks to pick up the Central Suburban South win.

– New Trier 17, Glenbrook North 0-Jennifer Ballard (2 for 2, triple, four RBIs), Meghan Garden (two RBIs) and Katie Soudan (2 for 4, two RBIs) paced New Trier (10-9, 6-4) in a five-inning Central Suburban South game.

– Harvard 21, South Beloit 0-Carrie Martin (2 for 3, three RBIs), Michelle Jones (2 for 3, three runs scored) and Pam Burnett (2 for 2, two runs scored, two stolen bases) led Harvard (17-1) to a five-inning victory against South Beloit.

– Queen of Peace 11, Nazareth Academy 1-Katie Anderson (5 for 5, four RBIs)

hit a pair of homers, and winning pitcher Katie Krawczyk scattered three hits in seven innings for Queen of Peace (18-7).

VOLLEYBALL

– Niles West State Invitational-In Sectional 4, Paris Palamado (five kills), Chris Petrak (four aces, 11 service points) and Derek Reynolds (seven kills)

paced Sandburg (20-2) in a 15-3, 15-12 win over Eisenhower. Chris Luchetti had eight service points while Matt Gibson added seven points for Lincoln-Way in a 15-7, 15-4 win over Andrew.

In Sectional 3, Karl Ziegler (seven kills) and Sven King (seven kills, three service aces) paced Evanston in a 15-7, 15-10 win over Mundelein; John Kujak (nine kills, 10 for 10 serving), Bob Solak (eight kills) and Aaron Harkey (five kills, three solo blocks) led Maine South (14-9) to a 15-13, 15-9 win over Glenbrook South; Glenbrook North defeated Waukegan East 15-12, 8-15, 15-10.

In Sectional 2, Mark Leuffgen (seven kills in eight hits), Jason Gindele

(10 for 10 serving, two aces) and Alex Pagotles (15 kills) paced Downers Grove South in a 15-3, 15-3 triumph over Wheaton Central.

In Sectional 1, Jason Markworth had 20 kills to lead Maine West (13-10)

to a 15-9, 12-15, 15-10 victory over New Trier; Niles West ousted Palatine 1-15, 15-8, 15-5. Joe Yu had seven kills, Mark Choi 11 assists and Hyeon Lee eight saves for Niles North in a 15-6, 13-15, 15-8 win over Maine East (11-9). SOCCER

– Evanston 2, Maine East 0-Erica Handelman scored her 27th and 28th goals of the year and Julie Solar added a pair of assists for No. 7 Evanston (16-4-1, 8-0-1), which clinched the Central Suburban League with the win.

– New Trier 10, Niles West 0-Emily Beshel and Emily Retterer scored three goals apiece, and goalie Chrissy Scavo recorded her 11th shutout of the year for New Trier (14-5-1, 7-1).
