The May 20 Tribune reported the travails of attorney Craig Greenwood of the United Pro-Life Legal Fund in Downers Grove, which asserted media are biased against abortion foes. He was quoted as stating, ”If we can tell tens of thousands of Americans what the truth is, then the battle will be won.” I wholeheartedly agree!
The truth is that a firm and often strident minority continues to interfere in the personal lives and totally legal practices and beliefs of a clear majority of American citizens.
I note that Christian Scientists have very strong beliefs relating to medical practices, yet I know of no incidence of their trying to force their beliefs upon others, much less practicing vandalism or the disruption of medical clinics. I ask, which group constitutes a threat to democracy?
