A federal grant of more than $816,000 has been awarded to an Aurora homeless program, U.S. Rep. J. Dennis Hastert (R-Yorkville) announced Tuesday. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded the grant to the Public Action to Deliver Shelter Inc. (PADS) at Hessed House, of Aurora.
Sister Rose Marie Lorentzen, Hessed House executive director, said the funds will be used to provide transitional living for families with children.
