A South Side grocer and another man were charged Thursday with conspiring to burn down a rival grocery. Faris Ishaquat, of 8924 N. Harlem Ave., Morton Grove, is charged with hiring Jesse Martinez, of 3038 E. 87th St., to set fire, along with another unnamed person, to Almar Grocery Stores, 4701 S. Cottage Grove Ave., on June 26, 1985. Ishaquat, the owner of Bargain Foods of Chicago, 360 E. 55th St., faces a prison sentence of 35 years and a fine of $625,000. Martinez faces 25 years and a fine of $500,000.
