Methode Electronics Inc. said fourth-quarter net income rose 145 percent, to $1.94 million, or 17 cents a share, from $791,000, or 7 cents a share, a year earlier. The Chicago-based company said sales in the quarter ended April 30 rose 10 percent, to $36.2 million from $32.8 million. For the full year, net income was up 135 percent, to $5.1 million, or 46 cents a share, from $2.2 million, or 20 cents a share, last year. Sales rose 9 percent, to $132.8 million from $122.2 million.
