Edward H. Koehler, 81, a longtime Des Plaines farmer and Maine Township highway commissioner, died Thursday at Lakeland Hospital in Elkhorn, Wis. Mr. Koehler was a lifelong resident of Des Plaines and farmed there with his family for many years. For 22 years, he was Maine Township`s highway commissioner. Survivors include two sons, Robert and Terrance; a daughter, Marjorie Massey; a sister; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
