The cream of Chicago`s musical theater talent is on view this summer in
”Into the Woods” at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse in Summit. Director William Pullinsi`s authoritative staging of the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine fairy tale musical is thoroughly delightful, without ever losing track of the darker meanings behind the stories it tells. And the cast, which includes Hollis Resnik as a vengeful witch, superbly sings and acts the interlocking tales of Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood. This is one of the year`s best shows.
