Why is everyone surprised at President Bush`s new approach to taxes?
Let`s face it-for the last six months we have heard nothing from Congress but new spending programs.
This year the laundry list of new programs is unlimited-from child care to health care, from education to the environment. And Congress can come up with only one answer to solve any of these problems: more taxes. Excessive spending is the only lifestyle our leaders know.
The Tribune once said that ”Bush`s campaign promise was foolish.”
Actually, believing Congress is foolish. Excessively foolish!
