Mitch Snyder`s death is a national tragedy. He was the primary person who was bringing people together around the homeless crisis. As a militant, he knew the importance of keeping his focus on the plight of the homeless. As a homeless person, he articulated to the world how it felt to be a victim of homelessness. As an advocate, he struggled for decency. As a human being, he lived for what he believed and gave all those who have ears to hear a new consciousness of what it means to be homeless.
To keep his dream alive, we will all have to struggle harder to provide safe, affordable housing.
