I am outraged and confused by the Catholic Church`s trying to shut down Madonna`s concerts in Rome and Turin.
The church has numerous problems of its own:
1. A critical shortage of priests and nuns.
2. A critical shortage of money.
3. Decreased attendance by followers at weekly mass.
4. Cardinal Bernardin shutting parishes that are profitable, and thereby
”turning people off” to the church.
5. Local priests getting arrested for damaging private property.
I would think the wise men of the church should pay attention to their own problems and leave Madonna alone.
As a young Catholic, I`ll save my money for Madonna concerts-and won`t give them another dime.
