Occupation: Actress.
Birthday: June 15, 1955.
Birthplace: Gary, Ind.
Current home: Los Angeles.
Marital status: Separated.
Children: None.
Car: I just traded in my Honda Accord for a red 1990 BMW.
Working on: Playing Ellyn Warren on ”thirtysomething” on ABC-TV for the fourth season and auditioning for a lot of movies.
The book I`ve been recommending lately is: ”Illumination Night,” by Alice Hoffman.
Favorite performer: Mick Jagger.
Favorite childhood memory: When I was 8 or 9, my family came home from a trip to find that our house was totally flooded. So we got our sleeping bags and went camping in the woods for a couple of days until the house dried out. Personal hero: I`ve never been a hero-worshiper. When I realized there was no one quite like me, I stopped trying to model myself on other people.
Nobody knows I`m: Double-jointed. I`m able to turn my feet backward and walk forward.
I`m better than anyone else when it comes to: Sleeping. I can fall asleep anywhere-on planes, trains-at the drop of a hat.
I`d give anything to meet: I would have said Jack Nicholson, but I have met him, on the set of ”Two Jakes.” He was great, very down-to-earth.
The worst part of my job is: Auditioning. It`s like a job interview, and we do it three times a day, sometimes.
A really great evening to me is: Ordering in Chinese food and watching TV.
If I could change one thing about myself, I would be: Less stubborn.
People who knew me in high school thought I was: Wild.
Nobody would believe it if they knew: I was writing a children`s book. Since ”thirtysomething,” people think I`m as awkward with children as the character I play.
The worst time of my life: Seventh and 8th grade. I was such a dink, such a little, stupid nerd.
If I couldn`t be an actress, I`d love to: Run a big dog kennel.
Three words that best describe me: Insecure, curious and irresponsible.
