Funny stuff unless you know that psoriasis is not a simple nuisance. It is a disfiguring and crippling disease that destroys lives and livelihoods and consumes billions of health-care dollars per year in a futile effort to cope. Political action by Chicagoland`s 60,000 psoriatics has the potential to redirect NATO funds to the National Institutes of Health, where recent breakthroughs in genetic research have brought a cure within reach.
