An armed robber wearing Western wrangler garb escaped Thursday with an estimated $10,000 in cash from Standard Federal Savings & Loan Association, 6141 S. Archer Ave., authorities said.

Police and FBI agents said the ”urban cowboy” entered the savings and loan, displayed a handgun and ordered a teller to hand over money. He then left on foot.

The suspect was described as being in his late 20s; 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, and wearing blue jeans, a white wrangler-style shirt and silver-trimmed black western boots.
