Plans are progressing for two projects recently approved by the Bensenville Village Board.

Construction will begin next spring on a $12 million, 172-unit senior citizens` housing complex at York Road and Memorial Street. It will be called Bridgeway of Bensenville.

The complex, which will be open to people older than 62, will be operated by Lifelink Corp., 331 York Rd. Lifelink also operates the Bensenville Home Society, a not-for-profit subsidiary providing such services as nursing care, adoption, foster care and counseling.

In the other project, storm water detention and infrastructure improvements are being evaluated by officials of the village, which recently annexed the property located at the village`s northern edge.

Owned by the Eastern Airlines Pension Fund, the 50-acre site, called Flick Reedy, is proposed for industrial development.
