Will County has announced two programs aimed at bolstering its recycling and litter reduction efforts.

Under the first, a study will determine if the amount of litter has been reduced. Five communities are involved in the study: Bolingbrook, Channahon, Crest Hill, Joliet and Peotone. A follow-up study next year of the same areas will measure the effectiveness of litter reduction programs.

The other program will make two area educators available for presentations on recycling to area schools and community groups.

The programs are sponsored by ”Lookin` Good!,” a local affiliate of the national Keep America Beautiful program, and which operates here as a division of the Joliet/Will County Center for Economic Development.
