The Kane County Board has approved spending $60,000 on consultant fees to study ”emerging technologies” in garbage disposal.
The study will be used in preparing the county`s 20-year garbage disposal plan, which is required by state law and must be completed by March 1.
Gary Mielke, the county`s waste disposal planner and recycling coordinator, said proposals are being sought from consultants familiar with waste disposal.
