An unbelievable and almost unforgivable situation existed Sunday afternoon, Aug. 12, when the Chicago Cubs played baseball and the game was not on television!
I cannot think of any other time when a Cub game was not on television on a Sunday afternoon.
I do not know the details of the agreement made by major league baseball and network television on blacking out WGN-TV this year. Whatever the agreement is, I don`t like it.
The game was on radio so that I could listen to Harry Caray, Steve Stone and others, but it is much better on television.
