Robert Reed, 66, a retired senior vice president of marketing for Farm Bureau Insurance, died Wednesday in Evanston Hospital. A resident of Flossmoor, Mr. Reed retired in 1988 after working for the insurance company beginning in 1976. He was a fighter pilot during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Loraine; a daughter, Janet Rumsey; a son, David; a brother; and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tews Funeral Home, 18230 S. Dixie Hwy., Homewood.
