As a member of Chicago`s art community, I congratulate the editors on publishing Prof. William D. Grampp`s comment on state-supported arts.

It is high time that the creative edstablishment in this country stopped looking to the government for handouts.

If artists in this country want to play with their paint and clay and can`t afford to, then they should look for jobs.
