It is to be expected, I suppose, that the Tribune run an article blasting Louisiana State Rep. David Duke`s candidacy for a U.S. Senate seat.
Unfortunately, the lack of objectivity displayed by Steve Daley
(”Louisiana politicians nervous as ex-Klansman comes on strong,” Aug. 5), is typical of the type of journalism which has plagued this legitimate politician throughout his career.
David Duke is a well-educated, articulate intellectual who is not afraid to address issues which seem too sensitive for mainstream politicians. The news media have repeatedly shown that they must resort to name-calling and suppression to avoid discussing such sacred cows as Third World immigration, welfare abuse and racist ”affirmative action.”
Perhaps the liberal media are afraid that what Duke has to say may make good sense to too many people.
