A computerized crackdown on car and truck owners who did not buy their annual vehicle stickers has increased income for Chicago Heights by more than 40 percent so far this year.
Officials from Capital Resource Systems Inc., a Flossmoor-based software firm that designed the program, say it has brought the city $285,000 in collections to date, $83,000 more than the same period last year.
