Peter Wetzel (Voice, Aug. 20) states that the United States would have launched a pre-emptive strike on Iraq if Ronald Reagan had been in office.
Ronald Reagan`s track record says differently, considering his HUD scandal, the record deficit, the Iran-contra fiasco, the expensive S&L crisis and the needless slaughter of the Marines in Lebanon. So far, Bush has been on track, far better than if Reagan had been in office. Give Bush a chance.
