I am deeply distressed over the cavalier attitude of Madison, Wis., Mayor Paul Soglin over the recent outbreak of anti-Semitism in his town. He simply stated, ”We have 350,000 people in Dane County. There are bound to be at least two or three bigots.”
If he thinks ”two or three” bigots were responsible for that much hate mail, phone calling and vandalism, he is closing his eyes to a big problem. Cutting the brake lines in a day-camp bus is more than just bigoted.
