I found the opinion about and caricature of Sinead O`Connor obnoxious, and am offering my counter-opinion to ”Anthem antics.”
What is wrong about Sinead O`Connor not wanting the national anthem played before her concert? She`s not American; why should she approve?
Besides, what`s the reasoning behind playing it before a concert? Neither the concert nor the reason people are there (Sinead O`Connor, in this case) has anything to do with loyalty.
If in her shoes, I would feel as if the American people were attempting to belittle me and make me feel unwanted.
Sinead owes no apologies. We owe her.
