I cannot be as abstract in my thinking as former Illinois Supreme Court Justice Seymour Simon. I favor the death penalty. It will at the very least put a period to the terrible event of my daughter`s death and allow our family, which has suffered for the last 12 years, to know that justice has prevailed.
