Harry and Carol Guydan of Arlington Heights announce the engagement of their daughter, Cheryl Ann, to Wayne E. Baker, a son of Wendell Baker of
Lincolnshire.
The future bride is a graduate of Roosevelt University where she also earned a master`s degree. She is a research coordinator for the American Dietetic Association of Illinois.
Her parents are co-owners of Harlyn Properties Inc., a real estate firm in Arlington Heights.
The future bridegroom, who also is the son of the late Evelyn Baker, earned a bachelor`s master`s degrees from Northern Illinois University. He also received a doctorate from Northwestern University. He is an associate professor in the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.
His father, now retired, had been a sales administration coordinator for Bell & Howell Co., Skokie.
An early November wedding in Mt. Prospect is planned.
