I applaud your front-page article on Jack Gargan`s T.H.R.O. (Throw the Hypocritical Rascals Out) campaign. His complaint about our legislators has appeared in many major newspapers all over the country. His aim is to see every congressman voted out of office, because he feels the good ones should have found a way to remove the bad. On an unopposed incumbent, there should be a write-in campaign.
All of Mr. Gargan`s workers are volunteers. None, including him, draws any salary, but he would like to recoup the $45,000 in startup costs.
Senior citizens receive many requests for campaigns to help save Medicare, etc. The majority of these are not legitimate.
This is a very worthy cause and I believe Mr. Gargan`s actions will achieve positive results.
