Your editorial ”United States walks a tightrope with Israel” is strongly biased and lacking in facts. Thousands of defenseless Jewish people, many elderly, worshipping at the Wailing Wall were endangered by a barrage of very large rocks.
Since Israel respectfully protects worshippers of all faiths at the holy places, it did not anticipate a lowly act of terrorism in this celebration.
I believe this was a deliberate provocative incident to undermine the American-Arab alliance against Iraq.
I cannot comprehend why Israel, so small that it barely shows on the map, has to be the butt of unwarranted hate by surrounding Arabs.
