I would like to thank the Tribune for having journalistic courage. It took a special kind of newspaper to print a hardhitting commentary like Julie M. Judice`s ”Japan, land of slurs and silence.”
Japan has been insulated in the world community from criticism for its leaders` perpetual bashing of black Americans. Perhaps a close-up view from a black American who lives in Japan will give high-ranking American officials some guts. Maybe now they`ll tell the Japanese government to put a lid on it!
