The students, faculty and staff of Northwestern University wish to express our revulsion and contempt for the anti-Semitic actions committed on Oct. 13 in West Rogers Park. The desecration of two synagogues and a Jewish social welfare organization was a heinous crime.
We applaud the quick police response, arrests and charging with felonies of the suspects. Anti-Semitism, institutional racism and all other forms of hate violence have no place in a civilized society.
