Devils goaltender Chris Terreri was prepared for a threat that never materialized. Terreri, working behind a solid defense, faced only 15 shots overall and only two in the third period.
The Devils, who beat the Flyers 3-2 Saturday, have whipped Philadelphia in five of their last seven games.
”They are a team that does dump the puck in a lot and that keeps me very active and it keeps my mind in the game,” said Terreri, who has allowed only 15 goals in his last eight starts. ”I was really focused out there tonight.”
The loss dropped the Flyers` record against Patrick Division teams to 2-7-1.
Troy Crowder and Kirk Muller scored first-period goals got the Devils going.
