Occupation: Performer.
Birthday: June 24. You don`t want to know the year.
Birthplace: Los Angeles.
Current homes: Los Angeles and New York.
Marital status: Married to Fred Rappoport for 3 years.
Child: David Farentino, 21.
Car: My 1971 280SE Mercedes Benz convertible, dark burgundy with a black top, is my baby.
Working on: I play Karen MacKenzie on ”Knot`s Landing”-which I call
”fortysomething”-and I`m starring in a CBS-TV movie, ”The Fatal Image,”
to be aired today, Dec. 2.
The last good movie I saw was: ”Avalon.”
Nickname: My husband calls me Dusick, my maiden name.
Favorite childhood memory: Sitting in our breakfast nook, with my family, listening to the radio on Sunday mornings.
Personal heroes: My dad and Betty Ford. My father was a super human being, an early feminist. He did everything big-laughed, loved, cried–and I loved him big. And I admire Betty Ford for her honesty.
Every New Year`s I resolve: To stop and smell the roses.
Nobody knows I`m: Hungry.
I hope I never have to: Sign another 12-year contract for a TV series. I`m in my 12th season with ”Knot`s.” The only other people who started with the show and are still on it are Joan Van Ark and Ted Shackelford-Val and Garry. But I`m the only one who`s been in every episode.
The worst part of my job is: Putting on makeup. It takes so much time. There are better things I could do.
The worst advice my mother ever gave me was: ”Finish everything on your plate.”
If I could change one thing about myself: It would be my shoes. My feet are killing me.
People who knew me in high school thought I was: Fat.
Behind my back my friends say: ”That woman never ages.”
If I couldn`t be a performer, I`d love to be a: Psychiatrist. I analyze everything all the time.
My most humbling experience: Being in the White House surrounded by so much history.
When people first meet me, they think I`m: So much like the character I portray, Karen MacKenzie.
Three words that best describe me: Tall, cute and rich.
