I had a little chuckle when I read the article on the Phelan vs. Stroger controversy (”Stroger says Phelan wants him out,” Dec. 5). In particular, I found it ironic that Mr. Stroger`s ”publicist” issued a statement for Mr. Stroger. Knowing how much County Board President Richard Phelan wants to save millions of tax dollars, I suggest that he eliminate jobs that have little to do with county business. I don`t care if Hollywood stars have ”publicists,” but I see no reason for them at the county level.
