The promised release of the illegally imprisoned people, whom Saddam Hussein has fatuously called ”guests,” is heartening. But it is silly to give this megalomaniacal dictator credit for finally setting free innocent people whom he has falsely imprisoned for months. A kidnapper should receive no accolades for freeing persons whom he has maliciously held captive under marked duress.
