Occupation: Actress.
Birthday: Aug 21, 1956.
Birthplace: Liverpool, England.
Current home: Los Angeles.
Marital status: Divorced.
Working on: Co-starring in ”The Bonfire of the Vanities.”
I stay home to watch: ”Mr. Rogers` Neighborhood.” He talks a lot about self-esteem, and when I was a kid, that was a blurred message.
The book I`ve been recommending lately is: ”Love in the Time of Cholera,” by Gabriel Marquez.
Favorite childhood memory: I moved to New York at age 16 to go to acting school. The day before classes started, I looked through the glass doors, so excited. There was so much ahead of me.
Every New Year`s I resolve: To follow my instincts. That`s what makes you who you are. When I was growing up, there was a lot of emphasis put on trying to please other people and fit in.
I wish I could stop: Thinking so much.
I`ve never been able to: Completely let it rip.
I`m better than anyone else when it comes to: Taking chances. I`m extremely brave.
A really great evening to me is: Finding someone who really turns me on, reading to each other and then eating meatloaf and mashed potatoes.
My fantasy is: Finding someone to spend my life with. That would complete my puzzle. I`ve achieved a lot of the goals I set for myself in my career.
If I could change one thing about myself, I would have: Really big breasts.
People who knew me in high school thought I was: Very naive. I grew up in Canada, and I wanted to be an actor. The other kids couldn`t understnd why I wanted to be more than a secretary or a teacher.
My most irrational act: I married a man who lived in West Germany while I was living in L.A. It lasted for four years of Lufthansa flights.
The best time of my life: I haven`t had it yet.
My most humbling experience: Seeing Vanessa Redgrave in ”Orpheus Descending” and realizing what a long way I have to go.
Four words that best describe me: Growing, learning patience, sweet.
