”Oil prices tumble, pump prices won`t” headlines a story on Dec. 7.

Why won`t the prices tumble? Executives of our oil companies are quite ingenious and imaginative. When the price of crude oil goes up, they can load a tanker ship with the higher-priced crude oil, ship it across the Atlantic Ocean, refine it and distribute it to our local service stations at the new higher price-all in the matter of a couple of days.

Why then can`t they load the lower-priced crude oil into tankers and go through the same routine, getting the lower-priced gasoline to neighborhood service stations in couple of days?
