Occupation: Actress.
Birthday: Sept. 13. I`m not giving the year.
Birthplace: Seattle.
Current home: Los Angeles.
Marital status: Married for three years to Richard Gilliland.
Child: Connor, 1.
Working on: Playing Charleen on ”Designing Women,” Monday nights on CBS-TV.
I stay home to watch: ”thirtysomething” and a lot of ”Sesame Street.” The book I`ve been recommending lately is: ”The Joy Luck Club” by Amy Tan.
Favorite pigout food: Potato chips.
Nickname: Pinkot. When I was 2, my mother used to call me Stinkpot. I didn`t like that, and one day I said, ”I no Pinkot, you Pinkot.” The nickname stuck.
Favorite performer: Anthony Hopkins. I saw him in ”M. Butterfly” in London. It was a real thrill.
Prized possession: I have a lapis-and-rose gold pin that belonged to my great-great-grandmother. I`m afraid to wear it, but I like to just take it out once in a while and look at it.
Personal hero: When I was in junior high, I was really into Phyllis Diller. I thought what she did was great-get up and make people laugh.
Nobody knows I`m: A square.
I wish I could stop: Worrying about everything from the welfare of everyone in my life to air pollution.
The worst part of my job is: Costume fittings. It reminds me of those times I stood on the coffee table while my mother pinned up my clothes.
I want to teach my child: That it goes by real fast, and you have to make a conscious effort to remember what`s important.
My fantasy is: I`m staying in a fabulous Scottish castle, doing a wonderful movie.
The worst advice my mother ever gave me was: ”Nice girls always wear slips.”
My most irrational act: Going out with a guy I met in Amsterdam. It`s a long story.
When people first meet me, they think I`m: Bawdy.
Three words that best describe me: Loving, talented and funny.
