The Village of Lake Zurich will buy a new sewer diffuser to replace one that is allowing noxious odors to emanate from the sewage treatment plant.
The new model, costing $17,780, would better aerate sewage sludge, alleviating the odors.
It also would save money by reducing the amount of solid waste material the village pays to have removed.
