Whatever your views of the war, you ought to understand that anti-war demonstrators are not unpatriotic.
On the contrary, they are more patriotic than their critics. They want to save their fellow Americans from being killed and wounded. As one of them said to a critic who accused him of not supporting our troops in the Middle East,
”You don`t applaud a man caught in a burning building for being there. You do everthing you can to get him out alive.”
