The Aurora Emergency Services and Disaster Agency will hold its 4th Annual Severe Weather Safety Program from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 26 at Copley Theater, North Island Center, 8 E. Galena Blvd.
The program will focus on preparing for thunderstorms and tornadoes. Last summer`s tornadoes in Plainfield ”tragically demonstrate the fact that we cannot continue to rely on others to protect us or to provide us with accurate and timely warnings of potential danger,” said Mark Flaherty, Aurora emergency services director.
The program will be repeated at 7 p.m. March 5 at the Moecherville Fire Department, 1312 E. 7th Ave., Aurora.
