B. Robert Meyers, 87, chief engineer and vice president of engineering for the Chicago & North Western Transportation Co. for 50 years, died Feb. 8 in Evanston Hospital. He was a longtime resident of Winnetka. Survivors include his wife, Elva; two sons, W. Robert and Alan; three stepdaughters, Terri Schade, Norma Bassett and Elizabeth Swanson; two stepsons, Evarts Taylor III and Andrew Taylor; 10 step-grandchildren; and a sister. Memorial services for Mr. Meyers were held Tuesday in the Winnetka Congregational Church.
