Chicago-based John Nuveen & Co. said it filed for an initial public offering of 10 million shares of common stock of the Nuveen Select Quality Municipal Fund Inc., a tax-free, exchange-traded investment company. The filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission includes additional shares to cover underwriters` overallotments; the offering is expected to take place in March at a price of $15 a share.
