Jean Berman, 82, a community volunteer and longtime resident of Rogers Park, died Wednesday at home. She was the mother of state Sen. Arthur L. Berman (D-Chicago). Mrs. Berman was a volunteer at Weiss Memorial and Bethesda hospitals. Survivors also include another son, David; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister and a brother. Services were held Friday in Chicago.
