Police in south suburban Lynwood have identified the body of a man found dead Wednesday at the edge of a field along Torrence Avenue as a missing North Side cabdriver.
Syed Hadi, 24, a driver for Checker Cab Co., was reported missing Thursday by relatives, who said they last saw him at 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to Lynwood Police Chief Greg Szymanski. Hadi was found dead with a single wound from a small-caliber handgun in the back of his head, according to Lynwood police.
