The Lake Forest City Council has unanimously adopted a resolution objecting to a golf driving range proposed for a nearby site in unincorporated Lake County.
Concorde Groups Ltd. is seeking county rezoning for a practice facility with 92 parking spaces as part of a mixed-use development on 66 acres at the southeast corner of Everett and Riverwoods Roads.
Lincolnshire, which borders the parcel on the south, adopted a resolution protesting the golf range last week, Mayor Evelyn Cooper said.
Because the communities have formally objected, it will take a three-fourths vote of the Lake County Board to change the zoning.
