I am writing to protest the unthinking, ignorant, unkind and uncaring people who park in the spaces reserved for the handicapped.
I am visually and physically handicapped and am thankful I have a spouse to help me when it is necessary for me to go out anywhere. No matter where we go, there it is: Cars are parked in one and all of these all-too-few spaces designated for the handicapped.
They show no handicapped license nor sign to indicate their right to park there. Sometimes, a sign is posted warning of a $50 fine for illegal parking in one of these spaces, but I have yet to see anyone anywhere checking out these lawbreaking people.
